The Crew

So many people have touched this project that to list them would be nearly impossible. We wouldn't be here without them. We continue to be here because of them. Our crew may be few but our family here, vast. This journey has been long and demanding and always, always magical and we can't thank you enough for the amount of continued support you have given us.

Amber (She/Her)

Director & Producer

  • Amber discovered her love of film by renting and re-renting the same VHS tapes from her small town video store. At sixteen, thinking she wanted to be a screenwriter, she was told “You should be a director, you’ve got a knack for telling people what to do.” Unsure if this was a compliment or not, she went on to get a degree in… Writing.

  • She is a lover of snow, hater of vodka, and is terrified of what might be at the bottom of the ocean. She only drinks cappuccinos out of ceramic cups, an old fashioned over a large piece of ice, and prefers her apple juice at room temperature.

  • “They say life is short, but it is long…”

    - Doc Holliday

“They can’t tell us what’s real.”

    -Greta Gill

Alex (She/Them)

Sound Engineer

  • Alex found her passion for film through music. She originally pursued a music production degree but was told she had a much better film portfolio from her experience in a high school film class. While attending film school she happened to be handed a boom mic and sound mixer with little to no knowledge of how to use the equipment, but it was in that moment she realized that was exactly what she was supposed to be doing. She really is a great listener.

  • In her spare time she’s found cuddling her fur babies, Tux and Clarke, binging a queer show, playing video games with her virtual NotSoBoring crew, or going to a concert with her best friends!

  • Earp Quote:

“Baby girl, we is the team.”

    -Wynonna Earp

Alec (He/Him)

Editor

  • Alec was born and raised in Austin, where he spent his days making Rube Goldberg machines in his room and learning the ins and outs of the family camcorder. This took him to Santa Fe, NM, where he earned his BFA in Film Editing, and then led him to teach himself 2D animation (still a work in progress).

Since then, his works have been shown at SXSW, International Film Festival Rotterdam, Edmonton International Film Festival, BendFilm Festival, Austin Film Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, and more. Alec aims to tell the stories of people who society prefers to ignore.
